Regarding the information that you shared out of game in this case, do you understand why it was considered metacommunications?
Additionally, when the concept describing metacomming was brought up to you a few months prior in ahelps, did it not influence your decision here at all?

Yeah, but my appeal has mainly been based on me not believing the situation merited a permanent ban.

As I've said before, we take metacomms very seriously. You're not the only ones to bite the big perma because of first offence metacomms, even metacomms through bwoinks. The bans stays, sorry.
