Reason Banned: "Keeps taking things IC to OOC, mainly yelling at people for metagrudging them using LOOC or use it as a channel to throw insults at others when it is completely reasonable to do certain actions against them. Clearly needs to improve on their anger management, we do not tolerate your toxic behaviour for every little thing you can manage to turn in some sort of altercation and then take it to OOC. On Round ID 17984, they said "Hello" to a person and they replied with "Nope" and attacked them after. Said person went to the HoP to ask them to set them for arrest for attacking them, then spouted out "nice metagrudge again".

Appeal Reason: I feel wronged, almost everything about the ban text I've read is wrong. To start off, this player's hate towards me seems to originate OOCly, and then transferred into IC, as it's notable from the fact that they ignore me, running away, not giving me the time to even write. I met her in the medbay, and noticed they were particularly annoyed at me for some reason, so I sent them an OOC message with my PDA, saying "nice metagrudge", to which they responded "Could you kindly fuck off" as an IC text, so I responded again "responding to an OOC text with an IC one, cool". I went and said "Hello." to them, trying to start a conversation, attempting to gain an IC reason of the unexplained hate towards my character (Whose metagrudge started when we had a bar fight rounds ago), and they just said "Nope", quickly escaping. I then found her, and hit her once, unarmed (which I think is reasonable ICly, as it annoyed my character), and then ran away. I met her again, repeating into LOOC "nice metagrudge again", as she ran to the HoP, and she asked him to set me to arrest, so I said ICly "What did I hear? Me, arrest?", and shoved her onto the table, me running away quickly afterwards, and leaved 30 minutes later. Again, I feel like I'm very wronged, because I OOCly feel that this player is metagrudging me, because of something that happened to me, not even giving me the possibility to know IC, which really ruins my immersion and ability to RP nicely.
I'd love if you could post logs, to show that what I've aforementioned is true and right.

The ban placed on you is not for this round alone. I've seen time after time you using LOOC to yell at players for what happens in the round. The LOOC channel is still an OOC channel and I don't think you understand that concept. While it's fine in certain situations, a few examples being explaining a mechanic, teaching a player, telling you have to have to deal with something IRL or discussing/commenting things that happened... You on the other hand use it a lot of times to yell at other players for so-called 'metagrudge' or plain insults.

So the round where I placed the ban is that a player has had several altercations with you in the past:

So, this is about Celestia Chocolate or NickSho_ is their ID, I believe. I have sort of a.. passing relationship with them? It's not even that we talk or have had antag roles against one another but, for some reason, she has this mentality or attitude that everyone is against her and I guess that includes me. Just this shift she got into a verbal argument with Marie Allerton over comms about past issues, so I don't think it's just me that's she targeting.

She does a lot of things out of spite, like attacking me for rejecting her advances in the past, and this round in particular, I made an offhand comment that got me attacked again. I told sec, asked them to set her to arrest and I get an LOOC comment about, "Nice metagrudge" and, in my eyes, for her to step out of IC to comment on the issue is indicative of her taking the matter to heart OOC too.

I don't have any other issues with her on a gameplay, but she just refuses to stop contacting me in all capacity, and I can't even flat out ignore her because that gets me attacked for no reason. Again, it's pointless drama and I hate bringing this too but I hate having to deal with it even more.

From what I can gather from this alone, they do not want to interact with you at all because of how you act, but they cannot even avoid you without being attacked. I don't expect everyone to get along, that's impossible. You mention that "this player's hate towards me seems to originate OOCly", and that is half-right. Nobody here is obligated to interact with others unless it involves your department's line of work, but you feel the need to stretch it even further, trying to force an interaction by attacking this player, further making them uncomfortable. They finally reported your behavior, going through the effort of typing several paragraphs to explain their situation with you.

Again, I will say that this ban was placed because of your recent behavior. I have seen you several times yell at players in LOOC, especially when you play an antagonist. I warned you about doing this kind of stuff three days ago, where I even noted you for it. I have several logs of you being toxic in LOOC (big thanks to Izzy):

This appeal is denied. I hope you understand why you were banned and start working on improving on your behavior as a whole, because we do not tolerate this kind of toxicity on the server. I even feel this ban is somewhat on the lenient side, but I believe anyone can change to be better.
