Ban reason: "Bragging about having admin chat logs."

Your side of the story: I mentioned in voice chat that I have had in the past direct messages from people within the community that were largely gossip and at times included screenshots when the topic of the citadel community itself came up. I have stated this publicly before in that gossip is extremely common and people share with me things their concerned about for either a laugh or to vent. I have never under any circumstance shared the information I have been given with anyone, I've commented on publicly known events before when certain drama happens but no details other than those public are ever given. This issue that seems to be here is I mentioned some of the people sharing or venting were apart of the administration team. Kev asked me to tell me who these people are and I responded in DM's that I would rather not share their identities because I gave my word they could vent to me privately. I also stated that, if this was an issue, I could simply tell them not to gossip with me anymore. At no point did I ever try to spread any rumors, gas light, or stir any form of drama. Anything I ever commented on was public knowledge.

Why you think you should be unbanned: People like to vent, people like to gossip. I've stated many times before I'm the same person in private that I am in public and that even someone comes to be discretely about something I'll listen and keep anything they tell me private. I've had people on the administrative team I'm on good terms with share on-going drama as a way to cope or discuss the event and many of the times they ask my advice or if their position is sound. I did not know merely discussing things privately was an issue, if that is a case then I truly am sorry and in the future will ask people not to share any screen caps or information with me. As I've attested, nothing was saved or spoke of outside the specific conversations with people who vented to me privately. I have, and again I'm being truthful here, had people share chats from a-chat a few times. They ask me not to save them or speak of any details to anyone else and I do not, I go the extra mile to tell them to delete them after the conversation just to assure them. I knew perfectly well leaking any admin chat would result in consequences not only for myself but the person coming to me privately, that is why I have not leaked anything. All I did was mentioned that I've had administrative team members discuss things with me privately, if that is an issue I won't do such things again. I certainly wasn't bragging about this, nor was I making it anything more than my personal opinion on the matter. Everything was kept private outside of the mention that people have told me things, the fact that I have been privately vented to is even a fact I've spoken about with Izzy in a voice call just a week ago. A headmin was already aware that people have discussed server related events with me and did not see fit, as far as I've seen, to take action towards me. As I said to Izzy, I have not and will not leak any information of what people have come to me privately to discuss. I'm not the source of any leak or anything, I merely mentioned that people have shared topics with me in private.

Tell us the 4 people who leak to you and you got your unban.

I gave them my word I would keep any details private. Is there any other way?

As I've said, I've leaked absolutely nothing and I would hate for people who placed their trust in me and confided in me in confidence to have that betrayed. I understand why admins do not want logs leaked and I take that to heart by not sharing anything people tell me, the same privacy demanded by the admin team I uphold with people who talk to me in private.

Sorry , we need those names as the ones leaking info can hurt players as much as the admin team. Names or no appeal.

Is the ban permanent?

Yes it is.

After discussing it with the 4 admins involved, I've decided I would rather stay banned than betray the trust placed in me.

My word is my bond, I can go elsewhere to enjoy my spessmans, it's unfortunate that my casual attitude to private topics caused a permanent banning but as I've stated, I've leaked nothing and will leak nothing.

My integrity is more important than being a community member here. I listened to peoples private venting because they needed someone to talk to and knew they could confide in me, that won't change. 2 of the 4 admitted the reason they spoke to me in the first place was they were scarred of being perma-banned if they voiced their true thoughts either in a-chat or to their fellow admins.

I acted with integrity and just wanted the best for the people who were my friends.

As you wish, for what its worth I have said some strong things in adminchat and i havent gotten banned. Maybe your friends can nut up and say what they need to.
