I was helping a guy out he was being attacked by the clown and he killed the clown so I attacked the clown to help him because he was under attack too.
I think the admin didnt bother to investigate because he quickly banned me and didnt want to talk too long about the situation.

thanks for reading the post.

I read the rules all over for the 2nd time and it all seems like 2x as much that I know now.

the guy who banned me was cebutris

It was all a misunderstanding I was pretty suprised I even got banned haha

IF IMMEDIATE ACTION IS REQUIRED, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
Investigate the situation before contacting the player(s) involved. Ensure whether the situation requires your attention or is an antagonist action.
PM all parties involved with inquiry of what is happening and why.
If they continue their actions and/or their reply is unsatisfactory, disable player character. (VarEdit sleep or admin-prison)
Depending on the severity of the player(s)'s actions, either remove them from the remainder of the round or continue with the formal punishment guide.

Your contribution to the fight was negligible. Still.

The guy fighting with the clown, Xavier, crowbarred the clown twice before the clown struck back once in obvious self-defense. From then on it was unilaterally Xavier beating the shit out of him. I find it difficult to believe you thought he desperately needed help subduing the clown, who was already in crit by the time you joined in.

If you were just trying to help, it seems odd that you'd think it best to help the clear aggressor.

I walked in to a clown beating up my friend from geno he gave me super powers so I didnt want him to get hurt. I barely hurt the clown anyway but it all escalated proper

He wasn't really in any danger of getting hurt though, considering he was both the aggressor and the clear victor. I'd be a lot more understanding of your actions if he didn't already have the clown in crit when you joined in beating him to death; there was not really any reason to do that at all.

It looked to me like a clear cut case of metacommunication, which we don't allow here. You attacked an innocent because your friend was also attacking him.

I'm not sure that I want to approve this appeal, but I don't quite want to deny it, either. I'll get the opinions of other admins, first

This ban expires tomorrow anyway, consider this appeal denied.
