Ban type/duration (where you are banned from and for how long): Permanent

Ban reason: After being warned to stop having their dick out for no reason, walked around with their dick out. When someone asked, started emoting out stroking their dick. The words "I will ERP" on their flavortext isn't consent, and did not ask for consent. This is not acceptable and a massive violation of the "Don't be a creep" rule.

Your side of the story: I had a lapse in judgement from others doing it to me, or around me frequently enough that I had made the mistake of assuming that the kind of behavior was acceptable. I had approached the person, and after a handful of flirty posts I assumed that I was given the go-ahead Thinking I had been given IC consent. I wasn't aware that I needed Explicit Looc consent for my actions, due to others having done it.

Why you think you should be unbanned: I've seen others conduct sexual behavior and actions publicly before, several times, to others and myself. This lead me to believe that such things were allowed on the server, I was informed by MrJwhit that I should've been a-helping it when ever anyone conducted themselves in such away. I hadn't been given that initial warning in my dialog with MrJwhit, and I did not know public indecency was against server rules. That warning was given evidently a month ago, and I do not even remember that warning, which is my fault.
I accept that I unknowingly broke a rule, and After reviewing the rules I know that the ban-appeal is unlikely to go in my favor. That this ban will likely cause public embarrassment for me on other servers as well. I'd still like to make the appeal, even if it just gets the time reduced, or me mocked on other servers.

I'll be blunt, while I've seen people being weird on server, I've never seen anyone doing anything similar to what you're describing unless they were coming in to grief. Regardless, if someone is doing this to you, you ahelp, always. Saying you didn't know something was against the rules isn't an excuse when part of the criteria for joining the server is stating you have read the rules and understand them fully. So by saying you have read the rules, but then being clueless about one of the rules we take more seriously than just about any other, means you're starting off your time on server by lying to admins before you even get into the game.

With all that in mind, I'm going to lean on being against an unban for the moment.

I was the player who ahelped. As you can see, I'm also an admin, but I went through the regular process of grabbing an admin to handle the situation, because I was involved.

First of all: my flavor text's OOC bit opens up by saying that dubious consent--in fact anything that isn't explicit, no-plausible-deniability consent--is a no. I never gave consent IC; I was mostly just saying "you shouldn't be running around naked". Pointing out nudity is not flirting, and you started with the emoting as soon as I did so. You asked if there were any problems, and I said you were naked; that's not a flirt, but you started with the "character starts touching himself" emotes as soon as it was pointed out.

This server emphasizes gameplay over ERP, and tries to build an environment for people who don't want to get involved with that stuff. We allow ERP, be we are not an ERP server, and you should convey yourself as such. Yes, exhibitionism is allowed in the rules--we even used to have an exhibitionist quirk!--but the rules are also clear that you should find a relatively out-of-the-way place to engage in such activities:

Always find an acceptably private or secluded area to do your scene. Outside a workspace and inside a living space is preferential; dorms are the best place as they can be locked.

Walking around naked, with penis visible, on purpose, and immediately reacting with erotic emotes when this is pointed out, violates this rule, and violates it pretty hard.

You also violated:

Harassing another player with unwanted ERP is a first-time permabannable offence. If you do not have consent from another player, either IC or OOC, you will be banned; and an appeal will be unlikely.

You perceived them as flirty posts, but I was primarily trying to get you to stop showing your genitals in public, by saying how we "don't do that here". I... have suddenly just realized that this is probably an exhibitionist trope in pornography, and that's a mitigating factor, but the rules take precedence over pornography tropes.

I'm not really willing to budge on this, as the other admins have said, this is a clear violation of harassing someone with ERP.
If you want to be unbanned, either wait a while, or get a vouch from a reputable server.
