Name of the character you intend to be using (makes it easier for us to recognize and log): Corbin Whitaker

In the case of applying for a species, give us a brief summary of your character's backstory. This should give us an idea that you understand the lore of the species: Corbin Whitaker is a gene splice project. Though, not a... legal project. He was born in a lab run by a cartel, looking to breed and create more soldiers to run its illegal operations. He was breed from the DNA of a human, and a Hunter/Breeder Xenomorph. He was trained to be a runner, smuggling illegal goods across the charted universe. It was not something he particularly enjoyed, however. The killing, the lying, the deception... It was just a living for him, he didn't really know any other life style. One day, that changed. While on a massive high, his partner in crime messed up the FTL jump coordinates, and made a jump right in the middle of military police fleet... Corbin and his partner were both arrested, both being linked to several other crimes that they may, or may not have committed. Both were put in jail, finally Corbin had gotten something he wanted, to not have to take part in the criminal activity's he was born into.

The prison he went to was rough, full of hardened and dangerous criminals, he himself was restricted and restrained, though he didn't put up much of a fuss. A guard started to get to know Corbin, when he wasn't gagged that is. Through a year of talking and bonding, Corbin had made his first friend. The guard could see Corbins rehabilitative potential. Through some string pulling and talks, the guard got Corbin moved from maximum security to medium security. He was then able to part take in the prisons rehabilitation programs. He had some rough patches... Getting into fights with other prisoners, getting into brawls with corrupt guards... His punishments were not light, easily setting back his rehabilitation by a good few courses each time. He pushed through though, taking a general education class, learning how to cook, how to be civilized. After taking many courses, and having a long streak of good behavior, he worked down his sentence.

Though he has passed all of his rehabilitation courses, his past can still cloud his judgment. He has PTSD from his past life, so he can act out sometimes, but he mostly has it under control. For completing, his rehabilitation programs, the prison got him a internship working for NanoTrasen. They assigned him to Virgo-3, allowing him to pursue whichever departmental job he chooses, though he does have access to Civilian jobs because of his classes.

Summarize the species. As evidence that you've looked into it: Xenomorphs... A dangerous predatory parasite species. They are fast and lethal, with a hive mind mentality. They have a queen who produces eggs, which spawn "face huggers" who sneak around and latch themselves around the faces of other species, and inject a juvenile Xenomorph into the host, which will then later burst out of the chest of the host, having adapted the traits of the host, while mostly retaining the form of an ordinary Xenomorph. Xenomorphs have long, curved heads, chitinous exoskeleton, long tails with the equivalent of a spear head on the end of them and a toothed maw which hides a nasty little surprise behind it... a proboscis-like inner mouth, which will extend out of the Xenomorphs mouth, and has it's own set of teeth. On top of looking like the apex predator of all the known universe, having so many killing tools built onto them, they are dangerous to fight back against, because they have acidic blood.

So, what do you do with a dangerous species like this? Domesticate them of course! Scientists have been splicing the DNA of Xenomorphs with other humanoid races. With how adaptive they are with DNA, it seems rather obvious to try genetically modifying them. Xenomorph DNA will easy merge and adapt with any other form of DNA. A typical Xenomorph Hybrid will usually be human DNA spliced with Xenomorph DNA. This creates a Anthropomorphic Xenomorph, which does not share the hive mind of it's feral counter parts. It maintains most of the same traits as a generic Xenomorph; long curved head, pointed spear headed tail, chitinous exoskeleton, ect. Though they take on more of a humanoid shape, easily able to stand on two legs, with a more humanoid chest, hands and feet. There exists many different forms of Xenomorph Hybrids, it all depends on the DNA mixed with them.

What do you expect to happen if you use this race/job to violate any of the server rules?: My white listing privileges being taken away, as well as any other punishments that may be applied.

I'm not at all familiar with you, or any characters you play, in the slightest. All I have to go off of is the backstory you've given me, your summation of the species and your expectations of consequence. Over all, I'm not impressed with the story. It could use a bit more meat to it, give us a better idea of who this guy really is aside from a social newbie. The summation of the species is dreadfully generic, then again, who doesn't know what xenos are in twenty nineteen? I've no real comment on the expectations of consequences part, you nailed it on the head.

So, basically, I'm going to give this a -1 for now. We'll see what the other Staff have to say, but, I'll happily turn this into a +1 sometime later if you can bulk up the story and tell us exactly who this character is, and, what uniqueness they provide for the roleplaying atmosphere of the server.

I play Lust Mint, Fairy Floss and Cuddletail on the server, combined I have played about 20+ shifts. I have changed up the story to make it more interesting, I put much more detail into my knowledge of the species. Lemme know what you think of the changes.

Absolutely love it. I'm not a fan of the hardened criminal redemption story, lord knows it's been done enough times around here, but, you put effort into it. That much is clear. In fact, this is the kind of quality I expect from every player that makes an application. So, you can bet your buttons I'm happily turning my -1 to a +1.

I have mixed feels on this. Like Avarice said, the hardened criminal backstory has been done to death, and very rarely is it done well. The "He has PTSD from his past life, so he can act out sometimes, but he mostly has it under control" part also worries me, because it just sounds like an attempt at a license to start shit. However, I also see that you've put a fair bit of work into your app, so I'm willing to give you a chance, just keep in mind that the backstory won't excuse all actions and you'll be subject to any IC or OOC punishment that might be a result of your actions.

I won't use it as an excuse to start things. I promise. I have yet to get in trouble at all over the course of 20+ shifts and I do not intend to change that. I do not intend to use the back story to be an excuse to ruin everyone else's experience. If anything, it might give a psychologist something to do XD
