Player Complaint - Ray Greyson (Rayllumen)

Date of issue and round ID: 10/13/2018 - RP Server, approx 12 PM, EST.

Reason for complaint: Multiple violations of Rule 3.

Ray's character is unbelievably insane - and somehow still works for Nanotrasen. His character has gone far, far beyond sane and reasonable, including 'turning into a shadekin', operating on someone without their consent, and most recently /ganking a HoP with the CD/. There's no possibly way Ray would be employed by Nanotrasen with such behavior, and at this point in time, with how fast it's escalated, almost every round Ray is on there's a shitstorm involving him. It's tiring to deal with in any sort of security or command position, it's unrealistic, and it's just annoying. 

He's flatly portrayed himself as insane. A company would not keep an insane employee on, without significant medical treatment or signs of improvement. Ray has shown none of these. I'd like for Ray to tone his insanity down a notch - or for an admin to step in and do something about this. I'm not the only one who's tired of this, and i'm certainly not the only one who's witnessed his 'antics'.

While I'm afraid I have no logs or screenies to contribute to the thread, I can certainly attest to the general spirit of it. Ray has spoken openly about a murderous multiple personality disorder, claims to have died over a hundred and fifty times, claims to have suicided for a good chunk of those deaths, etc. It's obnoxious to deal with when you're forced to interact with him.

I wasn't even there for the whole round but goddamn.
Ray's VERY unstable IC and OOC as I've seen and well, he probably shouldn't be on this server anymore for his own mental health. I'm not saying this to stir shit either (which I've been told that I've done a whole lot) but he has problems discerning IC from OOC as I've seen and before, sure, Ray's minor breakdowns were ok and fun to play out but now? naw fam he needs to be canned
goddamn Ray this game isn't meant to be taken as seriously as you're making it out to be, and I can tell it's driving you nuts. Noone likes having to deal with "Oh you erp'd someone and now you must die' because well, look at the shitshow we ended up with.

I'm adding the mutiny one because well, he assaulted the HoP and attempted to get their character PDK'd through a compliance disk.

The crew have odder things than someone choosing to genemod themselves to look like a local life form, and although it might cause people to look weirdly at you, I wouldn't think it was a mark of insanity.

my tl;dr is ray's too edgy and volatile to possibly be hired by nt and while ic conflicts are what makes the game interesting when one person repeatedly has the same issues with a shitload of people maybe that person's the problem.

The biggest issue here is the fact he has been taking IC stuff into OOC on Flynn's discord, only to have Noctu join in and start stuff all because of the little compliance disk thing you got going on. Though this isn't an issue with you doing it, it is an issue how both of the people I mentioned have been reacting and stirring stuff consistently all because of my decisions of going through with it as well as my enjoyment of being part of it.

I'd like to chime in here. I had a bit of a discussion in LOOC with Ray, and it is my opinion that Ray is FAR too emotionally invested in the server's events than is probably healthy OOCly. Ray repeatedly told me that he was extremely uncomfortable that his friends chose to take part in non-con scenes, saying that it caused him a great amount of distress. He repeatedly said things about how his character had no candidates for boyfriend or girlfriend left, and it was really upsetting him, meanwhile he was running around the station in circles talking over medical radio about how he was so upset he couldn't think straight.

Being able to separate yourself OOC from your IC is a core tenant of this sort of community and server.

Also, I have a character that generally plays Head of Security on the station, Angelina Pershing, and in the 3 rounds or so that I have played her, two of them I had Ray in a HUT sentence for doing various things, meanwhile, the entire time I had to babysit him in the brig to make sure he didn't harm himself, claiming he wanted to kill himself because it would be easier than sitting the brig sentence. This sort of thing absolutely sucks any fun that there is left in security as a job, and is literally the reason I haven't been playing one of my oldest characters. Frankly, security just isn't fun when there are people like this on the server.

Okay so I know we don't have the silly permakill stuff from virgo but I'm gonna copy-paste somethings I said in discord over

to me characters coming back immediately after perma/execute is something we handwave because sake of gameplay
but if someone outright flaunts it they honestly just might lose it

basically even though rounds are canon for the most part people get away with nearly everything right after a new round arrives because it's a different round. Don't be a little shit and repeatedly act suicidal and force everyone to deal with it round after round after round including during HuT sentences, because at a certain point there's no reason for you or your character to be here if it's just going to be a gigantic smasher of immersions because no company in their right mind is going to repeatedly hire someone suicidal who causes a massive amount of issues, is borderline insane and has a pity party going on. And honestly a lot of people are sick of dealing with it.

As a frequent security player on the RP server, I honestly have to disagree with the notion that Ray Is a constant nuisance. Or even that big of an issue, when he does anything. Sure, he may be some days. But that’s hardly the norm.
