Banning admin: Auris456852
Ban type/duration (where you are banned from and for how long): Assistant Jobban on main, permanent unless appealed by the looks of it.
Ban reason: Found "likely" to have broken into and "stolen" gloves from Engineering early on in the round, with no threats, logged out through cryo during the ahelp.
Your side of the story: Well. To start off, I straight up didn't notice the bwoink because of two main reasons: I've been on a broken notebook for a few months now, wearing broken bluetooth headphones that usually disconnect and are to be charged every two hours. Every single time they disconnect, I'd have to restart my whole client for the sound system to spark itself up again, so, apparently, I didn't even hear the bwoink. Second reason was I was tabbed out for most of the shift. I'm extremely sorry for this and it was straight up just a disconnection ban, I didn't even mean to ignore the bwoink. But even then, my method of "greytiding" wasn't really anything malicious. I walked in through maint, passed through an engineer on what seemed like a harmful intent and /bought/ gloves from their vending machine. The one they don't even use. I had a reason for this, said reason being me just wanting to build in chapel maint. Which I did. Something I do almost every shift nowadays and that I usually need gloves for unless I want to shock myself to death while working on a door's cabling while setting up a signaller system to make locks. Why would I even log for something so minor? I don't think I have any track record of me logging during a bwoink before, even when I had to go.
Why you think you should be unbanned: The reason for the ban seems a bit excessive and my logging was due to hardware issues and the fact that I was distracted throughout most of the shift. I didn't even notice the ahelp.

Bans are upgraded to permanent if the bwoinked person logs out when contacted/during questioning. Just gotta wait for Auris to hop on and reply.

As my fellow admin stated, it doesn't matter if you had any record of it or not. If you just bail when you've got something to answer for, you'll simply be forced to answer for it on the forums, with a ban that will not be lifted otherwise. Anyhow...
Well, I'll be honest. This particular case at the time seemed remarkably improbable. From my point of view, from the time I gave you the bwoink, you just silently went to cryo.
Your last logged action before my last bwoink was you tossing a bedsheet, a little under 5 minutes before me bwoinking you. From that moment, you were tabbed out, at most, for 6 minutes, and that's being generous.
There was only a 3 minute time period between the bwoink, with you relatively recently arrived in that pile of bedsheets, and you entering the stasis pod. In 3 minutes, general comms aren't typically clogged up all that much and there was no one you were interacting with at the present time. Therefore, the probability of you not noticing it at all instead of intentionally going to cryo would not be very high. Hard to miss it by DCing, too - the game literally doesn't let us send PMs to someone that's not connected.
But despite all this, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time.
As for the actual gloves, it's cool that you and someone else got the gloves from the vendor instead of nabbing the ones out in the open, but you likely shouldn't just force yourself into the department either way, especially with like 4 people already in the Engineering department. Ask, socialize, we both know the social elements of this game!

Yeah, there was a discussion in #ss13-main on Discord about it and I think I'll just up my roleplay to not have this kind of incident repeat itself again. I'll put aside my convenience to instead interact more. When it comes to DCing I really had no reason to bail and I was honestly really surprised about not noticing it myself, though I kinda do blame all my hardware issues. I'm gonna apologize again, I really didn't mean to ignore it in the first place, completely my fault. Given those timeframes, I'm even more surprised, which may sound like bullshitting but... Weird. Though 3 minutes is plenty of time for comms to clog the window up a fair bit. Again, sorry.

Alright, fair enough, a lot of things can happen in 3 minutes, on rare occasions. Though I've been having issues finding what messages were actually said on comms on that round, in that timeframe - should pay attention more myself, methinks.
Time can also feel like it passes very slowly in times of boredom. Not telling you to force yourself to do things, though - that's not healthy for anyone. Just, try to pay attention to those things, alright? I find it a good practice to skim over the most recent messages after a bit of AFKing for some reason or another. Gonna remove that ban in favor of a lil' note.

Mhm! Will do. Thanks for being understanding, I'll try my best to not have a repeat of this.
