Reason Banned: "Instance of powergaming on secret and attempt to murder. Non-Antag. Was warned in the past about powergaming. You see, picking up a stun-baton and trying to space people as an assistant non-tag was bad. Please take this time to read the rules."

Admin who banned: Subtumaka

Length Banned: 72h

Appeal Reason: Where to begin? First off, some context.

I'm playing a round last night as an assistant. The clown begs for access to all of engineering from the HoP, and steals 4 tech boards (AI Upload, Cyborg Upload, ID Console, Comminications Console). I personally (and my character personally) considers those tech boards to be high-risk, especially in the hands of someone like the clown. I find them in the observatory east of Engineering, and tell the captain. Then, Ulawa-Radithax (an engineer) is killed and cloned, accusing the clown of replacing the insulated gloves in Engineering with fakes and getting them killed. Security can't find them, but I know exactly where the clown is. I go down to his hideout to find him putting wires under a chair (presumably to make an electric chair), and has two consoles: Crew Monitoring and Security Records. The latrer I consider to be medium-risk, especially since he was given elevated access. I manage to keep him stunned long enough to put cablecuffs on him, and requested that security rendez-vous'd outside engineering. Sec takes the clown and thats season one over.

Season 2 starts with people accusing the clown of being in the HoP's office. I confirm this with my own eyes. Apparently he had stolen all-access. Sec was doing nothing either. Now there is a previous round where this character was played in which the mime and clown had both stolen all-access and the clown was able to get it back every time he was arrested for crimes.  Mime also kept breaking him out but thats not my business here today. So, there is already a sour taste in his mouth about a clown with all-access. I spot the clown with the Captain's cloak (and maybe the crown, I don't remember if he had that) and I decide to put a stop to this once and for all. I break into security (by deconstructing one wall), steal a flash and cuffs lying on a table, break into the officer prep room, and steal a stun-baton. I zap the clown, and try to space him. A little while later, I get a bwoink from Sub saying something along the lines of "Powergaming? I thought you were better than this." I explain my side of the story to the best of my ability and still eat a 72h ban after only one other note.

I personally think what I did is specifically NOT powergaming, but attempting to remove a shitter from the round. I also believe that a 72h ban is too heavy on a guy who apparently had a note about another instance of powergaming (was probably drunk that time) and nothing else, especially being the first ban I have ever recieved out of probably upwards of a hundred if not more rounds. But, the final verdict always falls on the head admins.

Thank you for your consideration in reading this fully, and discussion I always welcome.

Yeah. Alright, I can do with lowering it. I'll lower it to one or two days then.
See my only problem with this is that you decided that it was YOUR personal duty to become the hero that the station needs. As an assistant. On secret of all times. You shouldn't have broke into the officer gear room. And when the criminal was detained, you shouldn't have tried to SPACE them. I named it powergaming after reviewing your notes and it had said that you were already warned by the headmin about pretty much this same thing. You probably shouldn't try to justify that moment, or excuse yourself form it by blaming drunkness whether or not drunkess may have been the actual cause. It doesn't look too legit man.
Anyways you appealed instead of biting the 72 so to me at least, it shows that you had some good intention instead of straight up validus salidus. Probs gonna lower it to like, one and a half days.
Try not to do dis again okay?
