Appeal Reason: I really enjoy playing on this server and interacting with the other people who also play, so I want to at least give it my best shot to have it lifted or reduced.Â
I'll just give a brief summary of the events that occurred and a breakdown of my thought process. Essentially it was like any other extended round with some general non-sense, but lots of enjoyable player interactions. At some point in my harmless shenanigans (like being tossed around in a cardboard box by someone with telekinesis), the AI became malf completely unbeknownst to me (I didn't realize what I was getting myself into until the captain came into the picture, but I'll cover that in a moment). Anyways, the AI somehow became an AI bully and was just being a jerk, which at the time I found entertaining. I jumped on top of him and cruised around spouting all kinds of moronic nonsense, generally enjoying myself. At some point the AI talked about stripping the captain and making me "king", which I didn't turn down and encouraged it. In hind sight, this is where I was entering the "you about to fuck up" zone, and I should've immediately A-helped here, but I didn't. It's very late for me, so I blame my tiredness on having a lapse of judgement on something that should obviously be approved/denied before continuing that train of thought. Regardless, it wasn't a fault of any of the other players I played with, and entirely my own.
Moving forward from there, in the moment at the time, I realized I was beginning to tread into deep waters and made sure not to have a direct hand in any of the actions that were going to occur. The AI continued to escalate the situation, but I didn't do anything to interrupt it. I didn't want to harm or injure anyone, and was completely ready to be sent into the perma brig, which is what I thought would be my in game punishment. Ultimately, my ass was going to be firmly planted on that engineering borg from there on out, because I wanted limited intervention. Somehow things began to unfortunately swing in my favor: the borg was able to keep us away from the captain's lasers (both lethal and non-lethal), he let us into the captain's office and locker giving me the captain's unsecured swat armor/crown/sabre, and we recruited another (likely similar position to me) player to help be the "muscle" in the non-sense. The AI(still as the E-borg) let us into the armory, where the other player suited up, and the borg dragged him and myself to the captain. The other player successfully detained the captain, and we dragged him to perma. OOC - I began to question myself more what I was doing, but the AI continuously encouraged it, and I wasn't entirely sure what I should do (another instance where I should have at least A-Helped).Â
Once the captain was unhappily situated in his new home, I was gifted the lovely bwoink. I can't remember the message specifically, but I responded with something to the extent of, "I can stop all of this if you want me to". I realized at this point I fucked up, but the round continued and I was still messaging the admin back and forth. Anyways, the borg drags the two of us to the AI core, we run into the CE there. We all get left into the AI core; the borg says he's going to come back, and the "muscle" part of the group tased the CE and cuffed him. I was hoping at this point something would go wrong IC wise for my character, such as me getting batoned and beaten up a bit before getting tossed into perma. Either way; throughout the entire ordeal, I made sure that I did as little of damage as possible ( no harming at all, no destruction of property, not rendering the station uninhabitable, etc). While inside the core, I got teleported to some admin jail, where I was eventually temp banned.Â
I would say I'm still a relatively new player and I find myself getting into precarious situations, but that doesn't excuse that I should always use A-Help whenever I get into deep waters. I feel like in the past where I've had similar instances of admin intervention, I've displayed at least a willingness to completely listen and adapt my actions. I've had issues with me playing detective (stuff with abductors and not entirely understanding how abductor camo works ), and I've made adjustments to play this role less, as well as A-helping more frequenting regarding questions that I had in-game. I believe the silliness of the entire situation didn't make me think of it as a mutiny at the time, but it most certainly ended up resulting in one. I wasn't intentionally planning on this prior to the round, Â it just came into my lap and I let the ridiculous situation get the better of me.Â
I'm really sorry for being an asshat towards the captain, and I want to apologize to the admins who had to waste their time dealing with this. I would really appreciate being unbanned, or having it reduced, but I completely understand if you want to keep it in place. Thanks again for taking time to read my appeal and I hope you have a great rest of your day.

RE: 1-Week Temp Ban Appeal
As long as you understand how things like this can affect other player's enjoyment of rounds as well - given how they would have little reason to expect such events, then alright, I'll lift your ban later today.
