Ban reason: Vored an ash lizard without OOC consent. Was telling them “They aren’t crew” and to “suck my dick” when they were protesting about it.

Your side of the story: Following a lynch crowd seeking out to lynch an ashwalker for reading /woody’s got wood/ over comms, we eventually came across a few ashwalkers, one was down on the ground crawling away wounded, and in some little hope of helping in the fight, I took that ashwalker, got flashbanged and ran off without any realization I might have violated a rule or violated the person behind the screen’s preferences. And assuming I was still in the right in that scenario I made aggressive statements that were derogatory toward the ashwalker, only when I was bwoinked by the admin did I realize I was doing something wrong when I read the words along “Why do you have an ash lizard in your sleeper?” and released the ashwalker to continue along with the a-help.

Why you think you should be unbanned: I made a mistake and I am fully and entirely willing to own up to this for the ban that I have currently, and with the wave of some players coming from the rp server I could have represented a bad impression on how the players in this server act. But I wish to accommodate for the mistakes I made and hope to repair and make up for the actions I did in game, and I want to continue socializing with the people that I learned about and befriended over the one year I have joined this community.

I'm against you being unbanned, there are a few things that made me feel weird about this. This is all from the ahelp itself.

"A borgs sleeper is only operateable if someone enables the eating selection, they had it enabled"
"They aren't crew, therefor, food"

You acknowledge that this was OOC non-consensual rape, and this isn't acceptable at all. Unless there's some extreme behavior improvement, the way that you talked in the ahelp itself is enough justification for me.

I say get an vouch from a higher RP server, not unbanned a day after.

Alright, if there are any possible recommendations for a more so higher up RP server for a vouch I would be thankful.

You understand that this is one of our most serious rules, one which explicitly lays out that a first time offence can result in a perma and appeals are unlikely. You clearly knew that what you were doing was onerous and against the ashwalker's wishes yet you went ahead and did it anyway. This is something that could've been avoided with a simple question in LOOC before you grabbed them.

You do seem sincerely sorry about this, but we take this rule very seriously. If the banning admin accepts this appeal, (and this is a very big if) I would expect it to be changed to a timed ban on the order of weeks instead of an instant unban. If it's denied, your best bet would be to wait a month or two, and see if you can get a vouch from another server by playing with them in the meantime. If you can spend a month or two on a fairly reputable server (tg, cm, etc.) and have an admin from that server vouch for you after a significant amount of playtime that you've been good, then you'd be more likely to have this ban lifted or reduced.

ETA: It doesn't need to be a HRP server that you get your vouch from, it just needs to not be one of those servers which lets everyone run wild. We're just looking for evidence that you can spend time in a similarly moderated server without running afoul of their rules, over a decent period of time.

After some digging in logs, you seemed to understand you broke a rule that you really shouldn't have. With a heavy warning and a 0 chance permaban if you fuck up like this again in any way, I wouldn't be against this being downgraded from perma. I won't suggest a length of time, and definitely not under a week, though.

Trojan brought up a lot of good points in admin chat, and I think I'll go with his idea in the end. Your ban wont be lifted, but it will be reduced to two weeks, starting from the day the ban was originally applied. Any further cases of OOC non-con will be met with a permanent, and unappealable ban. Do not let this happen again.
