This happened right after explosions were heard.

Explosions can definitely be caused by literally hundreds of things, all of which could also cause APC's to stop charging if said explosion took out a wire. Either the best guess ever, or yeah, metagaming a-logs.

It doesn't take a genius to suss out that if both the coms center, located near the engine, and unrelated APCs stopped charging to figure that the engine exploded. You don't need admin logs to figure that out. Hell the most common thing PLAYERS shout when there's a power outage after an explosion is to check if the engine didn't blow up.

They broke all immersion, called out tesloose, and immediately ran in the opposite direction after the explosion. Hell, he even admin-unbolted the medbay escape pod doors and went into the pod trying to launch it. I'm not bringing that up because the pod is broken anyway and it wasn't going anywhere.

I mean, I've been playing a lot and had plenty of unannounced comms outage random events. I also haven't seen people scream tesloose falsely in.. I can't remember the last time, actually. So while what you said is true, it's really not as likely as it once was. A single explosion and a comms outage would absolutely not immediately register to me as a tesla failure and I'm basically an engineer main.

I get that not metagaming alogs is hard, i've also been an admin for 3-4 years. However, I expect him to be subtle about it.

I could hear the explosions from the tesla. Invalid complaint.

It's not up to you to say it's invalid. And everyone could hear explosions, the tesla doesn't have a unique sound like it does on main.

It doesn't need shocky death sounds. rapid fire explosions like that are either A: The Tesla, or B: A rapid fire grenade machine gun.
