Reason for application: Should I put here that Kevins keeps asking for me to? No? Alright.Applications are open again, so I figured what the hell, I'll give it a try. In all seriousness though, after two years of playing on the server, I've had a fair share of fun times, in thanks due to the staff that offer their time to both moderate the server and also actually play the game, and I'd like to give the moderator role a shot to try to perpetuate other people also having good times on the server.
If I had to pick between moderating the main or roleplay server, I would probably go for the main server.


Please answer the following questions to the best of your abilities:

1. How would you engage with two players having an out of character altercation?

Assuming it's in OOC or in the server's discord, initially monitor the situation to see if it's just two people memeing, and if it isn't, then ask them to stop or make a player complaint on the forums, or talk to a player rep about the issue they've been having. If they continue and need to be told a third or fourth time to stop, apply a short, temporary OOC mute/discord mute.

2. What should an admin do if they're involved in a situation that needs admin intervention?

If they're involved in a situation that needs admin intervention, ahelp and/or drop a message to other admins that you would need someone to come on and handle something, and that you yourself can't because you're involved.

3. How should an admin determine in what way to punish someone who breaks the rules?

Common sense.First offenses would probably just be lighter punishments, with more severe punishments getting put in place for repeated rulebreaking, or someone who's known to toe the line with various rules a lot. Getting a consensus about which rules were more severe than others beforehand would also help get an idea of what other admins would and/or should do, and, if time allows, getting a second opinion about a punishment from another admin couldn't hurt.

4. Under what conditions should an admin de-admin themselves while playing?

I believe that admins should de-admin if they're playing an antagonist, a security role, and possibly any head roles as well. Then again, if they have the self control to not use the information they gain from not de-adminning, they should be able to have it on anytime. Aside from that, though, I don't think every admin should be expected to want to admin 100% of the time that they connect, so I guess I'll throw out a 'if they just don't feel like it' too.

5. What is expected of an admin on Citadel?

Admins are expected to remain professional at all times, especially when dealing in manners related to the server. If they see another admin misusing their abilities, they need to report it to staff, usually a head admin or host, if needed. As for things that I'm not ripping right out of admin policy, admins exist to help the players have an enjoyable experience while playing the game, within reason.
