Re: [Project] NSC Frostal
It's really fucking shitty, I spent ass loads of my time on this crap but I can't even play on the server because it's gone so far down the shitter and my work has no become unrecognizable to the other people who piled on with minor changes to my idea but worse.

Re: [Project] NSC Frostal
I am, but thank you anyways. I'm not sure why everyone decided to go for what was already being done, but this did give me chances to learn new things during what system dev got done in the meantime, if nothing else.
Goodbye then, have a good one.

Would it be too much to hope that work on this might be resumed? Penumbra's progress is -no pun intended- glacial, Rift is more or less on-hold, and it seems like the Endeavor refurbish/rework is frozen as well. I was just looking at the WIP of this station that's available on github and it looks quite promising.

I don't see why not? Might need to talk to Te.name, or whoever was/is in charge of the project before taking it on yourself (blah, blah plagiarism).

I have no plans on resuming work at this time I am focused on working on the tether itself right now, I might in the future(Some help would encourage me a lot). But looking back at it there are some major design flaws I would have to work on and possibly a replaning of many areas to prevent too much empty space.VARKA & Selyn wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 1:45 amWould it be too much to hope that work on this might be resumed? But uhh, depending on how my Tether stuff turns out ehhhhhhhh 50/50 chance of restarting, but if anyone wants to go on without me go ahead, I would probably totally join you in the future. One of the major issues I would say is causing me to stop this would be general frustration combined with the lack of input making me loose the will to do the boring things like wiring and atmos, if I had another person experienced with mapping work with me or really anyone just able to generally help even with the little and have the ability to bounce feedback off each other it would help a lot.
Also I need to replace every object on the walls because my dumbass didn't use the pixel nudge tool properly

The reason I asked is because I know Te has been active on the forums lately.AvaricePleonexia wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 8:42 amI don't see why not? Might need to talk to Te.name, or whoever was/is in charge of the project before taking it on yourself (blah, blah plagiarism).
Yeah that's fair. I have some plans I'm toying with but not enough time or patience to work on them myself -- enough to draw up an outline of what I want but not enough to sit down and turn them into reality.Te.name wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 11:38 pmI have no plans on resuming work at this time I am focused on working on the tether itself right now, I might in the future(Some help would encourage me a lot). As far as help and feedback goes all I can say is don't be afraid to ask and talk about your progress in the development channel. Regular status updates will hopefully keep people's interest up and have them wanting to know more. A maybe's better than a hard no though. The tether is a monolithic beast that's a touch oversized for the usual playerbase, and also kind of unfriendly to new players in its sheer size and layout.
