Onkhera Synthetic Solutions

Through prosperity, to the stars. - Official slogan for Onkhera Synthetic Solutions

Onkhera Synthetic Solutions, often shortened to OSS, traces it's roots to Naramadi Ascendancy House Onkhera, which along with multiple other Houses started the Artificer's Guild around the year 1783, as well as pushed the limits of technology in terms of limb replacement and prosthetics creation. Slowly, their influence spread, and by the time the Naramadi Ascendancy officially contacted the Moghes Kingdoms, House Onkhera was already providing cutting-edge prosthetics and various medicine donations to a large number of Hospitals across the Ascendancy.

Necropolis Industries

Your problems, our solutions. - Slogan used by Necropolis Industries during the Syndicate Wars, known back then as Necropolis Security Solutions

Necropolis Industries is a rather new arrival to the Megacorporate scene, being created during the Syndicate Wars as a Private Military subsidiary for Onkhera Synthetic Solutions. Originally named Necropolis Security Solutions after the first deployment of OSS Combat Drones was described as "Military Grade Zombies" thanks to their life-like appearance.

Modern Day

Our services are open to anyone, as long as they do not breach the contract. - OSS&NECRO Board responding to accusations of supplying various Pirate groups

Learning from their time during the Syndicate Wars, during which multiple HQs were destroyed by various other corporations, OSS&NECRO moved their Headquarters into a vessel named Providence, accompanied by Necropolis Industries security forces at all times. Said ship makes stops at Verkihar Minor, Moghes, Luna, and Qerr'Balak at routine intervals, all of the planets being Regional Headquarters for that Galactic Power's branch. With the Corporation's owner often being required to stay in Ascendancy space, it does not have a CEO, instead being headed by a Board of Directors composed of 9 members, 5 of which are members of House Onkhera and 4 being high-ranking officials for Necropolis Industries. The Board travels together with the Providence.

In the modern day, OSS&NECRO have branches in all three of the Galactic Powers, with the Megacorporation being one of the few permitted to exist in Moghes Hegemony as of 2561. While the prosthetics market is oversaturated with various corporations, none can compete with the accessibility, and quality, of OSS. While most corporations might advertise their limb replacements as purposes made for tasks suiting, for example, in industrial scenarios, OSS creates life-like prosthetics that attempt to mimic the organic limbs lost. While they are in direct competition with Vey-Med in that regard, their wide arrange of prosthetics designed precisely for Alien races, ranging from Tarjara to even Teshari, creates a wider target market for them, in comparison to their direct competitor.

On the other hand, Necropolis Industries aims for a currently undervalued market: Military grade augmentations, Private Security and Asset Protection. Necropolis Industries' augmentations are often described as cutting-edge, and though they are clearly visible in use on their customers, their effectiveness is apparent to anyone who had the experience of seeing them in use. Not forgetting their roots, Necropolis Industries still holds their Private Military roots in hand, offering purpose-built Synthetics and Augmented Organic forces to any colony that will pay them, with the quality of the Operatives increasing with the amount paid, as well as being the primary security force in OSS&NECRO facilities.

Ethos

From the employee perspective, OSS&NECRO offers one of the widest ranges of cultures in comparison to others. As OSS hires doctors and prosthetists from the species they wish to create prosthetics for, the knowledge they hold of most species' biological functions is unparalleled in their field. OSS employees often get offered free limb replacement and access to experimental releases for new limb designs, with lifelong warranty and healthcare should the prosthetics cause harm to the user. On the other hand, Necropolis Industries offers it's employees salaries that are nearly 1.5 times the average and free Healthcare for them, their families, and multiple other people as perks.

OSS is also known across the frontier for various affordable subscription services, calculated from the salary of the person that joins them, to grant an average frontier citizen access to higher-grade prosthetics should they want or need those. In recent years, OSS has started open cooperation with various Hospitals across the Orion Confederacy, donating limbs created specifically for a patient that requires them, granting themselves an outlook of a For the People corporation, even though to get their prosthetics one must first purchase a long-term healthcare plan for a price that's calculated from the patient's salary.

On the other hand, Necropolis Industries has been seen as a two-faced friend. On one hand, they might sell their augmentations to an independent colony seeking an edge over pirate raids, but sell those pirates the same implants should they have enough funds to purchase them. While Necropolis Security forces are often a welcome sign, as the corporation will not deploy two teams against one another, they often leave minutes after their contract is concluded, often leaving their posts unprotected. However, the effectiveness of Pourpose-made Security and Asset Protection Operatives often overshadows the lying nature of this part of OSS&NECRO.

Technology owned by OSS&NECRO

ANGEL Implants

Often compared to NanoTrasen Mirrors, ANGEL implants function as storage devices for memories the user experiences across their life. Capable of only storing up to five years of memories, they have to be backed up into a main server every few months, as not to suddenly loose multiple years of life. ANGEL implants are also known for their ability to replay the last fifteen minutes of the user's life, often used to learn what could've been done differently for the user to survive. Compared to NT Mirrors, ANGELs can produce multiple beings from a singular backup, each aware that it is merely a copy of the main person, even if the original is long passed away. Multiple copies can collect memories at the same time, with the next created copy having memories that could've happened at the same time, but in different places.

Influence

Given the mixed reputation of OSS&NECRO, an average citizen might approach both sides of the company differently. While the Civilian side of OSS&NECRO is often praised for their approach and well-liked for their donations, affordability, and quality, the Military side has been met with mixed, and sometimes cold, reception for their ruthless corporate behavior.
