Cybersun Industries

(This article is far from done, just an infodump for my current train of thought.)

Cybersun Industries was originally founded by Cyrus Cyber as Cyber & Sons Biomedical Research in 2287. Their ultimate goal was to cheat death and grant civilization the gift of eternal life, which at the time was out of the question despite many of humanity's ailments becoming treatable and even curable. While he was able to add nearly a century to his life he fell short of immortality - passing away in 2363, mere days before the breakthrough he had hoped for.

Although it's rumored Nanotrasen's founders are not only still alive but still leading the company at its highest level, Cybersun Industries is fully transparent about the fact that their founder's heir, Cyrus Cyber Jr. has been calling the shots for nearly 200 years. What became of his brother remains a mystery however - rumors vary from an untimely end in Las Venus centuries ago to heading up the so-called "Cyberpunks".

Helped NT when they were starting up but never paid it back?

• One of the last things Cyrus Sr. oversaw before his passing
• Interest has caused the debt to balloon to a size where NT couldn't pay it back even if they wanted to (but they don't anyway)
